"Affluences" passes through the vocabulary of such a vital element as "water", which is translated and materialized in the exhibited works made with the most aqueous artistic material of all, watercolor. There is something in the nature of water that powerfully captures the dynamics of our current era. As matter, water is a transparent liquid so ubiquitous and fundamental that it is often taken for it. A simple compound of hydrogen and oxygen, it is the essence of our survival and required by all known life.It is ubiquitous and essential, always the same but always different.Water is a projection of light on a wall, like the videos on display, showing a flowing, still and turbulent water, a breath and a threat, a rippling surface and a three-dimensional void. What is observed is an unlimited field, where the horizon does not exist and sound is an essential part.Marcelo Gutman, curator of the exhibition, expresses in these lines the dynamics and vocabulary that Mariangeles translated from the interpellation to this vital element that results in these works.
